Bulletin from the Kitchen

Dinner will be at H's again tonight. The in-laws, including younger sister M, are still here, though F and V and the twins have gone back to Albany. In their stead there will be some other guests. I said I'd bring some food, so I'm making potato salad, cold sesame noodles, and beet salad with mint (inspired by some I saw in the deli case at Whole Foods). I just need to go pick the mint now. It's the one thing in the garden that hasn't burned to a crisp in all this heat. Oh, and remind me not to buy mayo in a squeeze bottle again. It is impossible to get the last of it out.
