Hunkering down

What a strange spring. Pleasant enough today, but I'm worried about tomorrow:

Precipitation: 100%. Wind-driven heavy rain. High 42 deg F. Winds ENE at 25-35 mph. Rainfall possibly over 2 inches. Winds could occasionally gust over 50 mph.

No laughing matter when you are surrounded by 100 year old oaks that are inclined to keel over with no warning under such conditions. I've seen it happen again and again.

The forecast is similar here...imagine being a marathon runner out in those conditions! So far, there are no plans to cancel the "Patriot's Day" festivities here on Monday, though, when I gather the worst of the weather is due to hit.

Yikes!

It's been SUCH an odd spring this year.

Are you staying dry? It sounds like you're getting soaked out there!
